Kenya is one of the world's largest producers of black tea. It has a history of tea dating back to 1903 when tea seeds were first planted on a two acre farm. Today, Kenya exports over 180,000 tonnes of tea a year (18% of world exports). Over 450,000 tea farmers derive their livelihood from tea growing.
Tea is grown at high altitude astride the equator in the rich highlands of Kenya. Kenya's equatorial climate allows tea growing year round producing tea that is bright, colorful with a reddish coppery tint and a brisk pleasant flavor.
Safari Pure is blended from the finest leaves handpicked from the top quality teas of Kenya and is a selection of the best-manufactured teas from selected factories. The granules of this brand are big and clean with hardly any fibres and dust.
